We have transmissions that are upgraded and overhauled to fit all Accord 2.3l and 3.0l from 1998-2005 ready to go, on the shelf. Accord torque converters from 98 to 05 have been failing, and restricting the internal filter, due to improper pressure from the pump. Flared shifts ( usually the 1-2, 2-3 shifts ), longer shift times from park to rev or, from park to drive, and in extreme cases the vehicle will not move after warmup. We completely overhaul the transmission, upgrade the valve body to increase the pressure to the torque converter, install all new bearings, frictions and steel clutches, filters ( internal and an add-on external in-line cooler line filter with a magnet inside) and a new torque converter. Our transmissions are priced a bit higher than a used one. Don't go with a used tranmission, it's just as much and hasn't been upgraded, therefore will fail exactly the way yours has, and you'll be right back to where you started in as little as a year.
